Job summary

Birdston Care Home in Kirkintilloch, near Glasgow, seeks a Kitchen Assistant to help prepare meals in a clean, well-organised kitchen. You will assist with food prep, deliveries and stock organisation, working with the Chef and team to keep operations running safely and efficiently.

This hands-on role offers a consistent routine and the chance to develop experience in a caring, supportive kitchen environment at a modern home with a strong reputation.

Birdston Care Home, located in Kirkintilloch, just 15 minutes from Glasgow, is a modern, fully refurbished care home with over 20 years of experience. We deliver high-quality, person-centred care for frail-elderly residents, including specialist dementia and respite care.

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to 35 hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Kitchen Assistant, you will support the delivery of high quality meals within a clean, safe and well organised kitchen environment. This is a hands on role where your contribution helps ensure meals are prepared efficiently and to a high standard.

You will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness across the kitchen and assist with deliveries, storage and stock organisation. Working closely with the Chef and wider team, you will help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and safely at all times.

This role offers a consistent routine and the opportunity to build or develop your experience within a supportive and well organised kitchen environment.
