Job summary

Birdston Care Home in Kirkintilloch near Glasgow is seeking a caring Care Assistant to support residents with daily living, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing. Training is provided and previous experience is not essential, with SVQ Level 2 desirable or a willingness to work towards.

You will join a friendly team in a safe, spacious environment with garden spaces and great views. The role includes 39 hours per week at £13.60 per hour, with PVG paid, pension, uniform provided and updated

Birdston Care Home, located in Kirkintilloch, just 15 minutes from Glasgow, is a modern, fully refurbished care home with over 20 years of experience. Care Assistant Contract

• £13.60 per hour
• Contracted to 39 hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
