A Kitchen Assistant / Pot Wash is being recruited for a busy education setting kitchen on a temporary basis. The role suits someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key duties include washing pots and kitchen equipment, operating the dishwasher, keeping the area clean, and supporting the kitchen team with general tasks. Occasional basic food preparation may occur.

Qualifications

• Willing to wear sensible safety footwear.
• Dark clothing to be worn as part of the uniform.
• An apron is provided by the school.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Assistant / Pot Wash to support a busy education setting kitchen on a temporary basis.

This is a role ideal for someone who comfortable working in a busy kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Washing pots, pans and kitchen equipment
• Operating the dishwasher
• Clearing down and keeping the kitchen clean and tidy
• Supporting the kitchen team with general tasks as required
• There may occasionally be some basic food preparation, although this is not expected to be a regular part of the role

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday 7:00am-1:30pm

Requirements

• Comfortable working in a busy kitchen environment
• Sensible, anti-slip shoes/trainers are required for this role
• Dark clothing to be worn
• The school will provide an apron and can also provide a hairnet/hat.
