Job summary

Glebe House Care Home in Ayrshire, United Kingdom, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support meal preparation and kitchen operations. You will work in a clean, well-organised kitchen, helping to ensure meals are prepared to high standards and served safely.

You will assist with food preparation, keep the kitchen tidy, and help with deliveries, storage and stock. The role offers a stable routine and an opportunity to gain experience in a supportive kitchen team.

Job description

Glebe House Care Home is a privately owned residence nestled in the beautiful and tranquil surroundings of East Ayrshire. We provide personalised Nursing and Residential care for up to 46 residents, offering a warm, supportive environment where comfort, dignity, and wellbeing are at the heart of everything we do.

Kitchen Assistant

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to 30 hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Kitchen Assistant, you will support the delivery of high quality meals within a clean, safe and well organised kitchen environment. This is a hands on role where your contribution helps ensure meals are prepared efficiently and to a high standard.

You will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness across the kitchen and assist with deliveries, storage and stock organisation. Working closely with the Chef and wider team, you will help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and safely at all times.

This role offers a consistent routine and the opportunity to build or develop your experience within a supportive and well organised kitchen environment.
