HC-One is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to help prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents in our dementia, nursing, residential and specialist care homes.

You will assist with meal prep under supervision, maintain hygiene, monitor temperatures, rotate stock and support new team members. The role values kindness, patience and respect in every interaction with residents and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Kitchen experience and a real passion for helping others.
• Willingness to work towards NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow recipes and record information accurately.

Responsabilités

• Assist with meal preparation under supervision.
• Serve meals with warmth and respect.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene.
• Monitor food storage temperatures.
• Support stock rotation and proper storage.
• Show new team members how to use kitchen equipment safely.
• Wash up and keep the kitchen spotless.
