Job description

Flourish Education are recruiting for a Key Stage 2 Teacher to work at one of our partner primary schools in Stourbridge. This is a full-time teaching position starting after October Half Term and continuing until Christmas 2026.

The school require an enthusiastic and committed teacher to take on full class responsibilities within a Year 3 class. The role includes planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum, marking and assessing pupils' work, monitoring progress and working closely with other members of staff.

Our partner school is a welcoming, two-form entry primary school that provides a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment for children aged 3 to 11. The school encourages pupils to be honest, respectful and confident individuals, ensuring every child feels valued and supported to achieve their full potential.

Required Responsibilities as a Key Stage 2 Teacher:

• Taking on full class teacher responsibilities, including planning, preparing and delivering engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum.
• Supporting Year 3 pupils with their transition into Key Stage 2, encouraging independence and confidence in their learning.
• Marking and assessing pupils' work, tracking progress and adapting lessons to meet the needs of children with different abilities.
• Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff members to maintain a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment.

Working as a Key Stage 2 Teacher, you will have the following skills:

• Previous experience teaching within Key Stage 2 in a UK primary school, ideally within Year 3 or Year 4.
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and expectations for Lower Key Stage 2.
• The ability to plan and deliver creative, structured lessons that engage pupils and support their academic development.
• Experience assessing pupil progress and using assessment information to inform future planning.
• Excellent classroom management, communication and organisational skills.
