Responsibilities

  • Support teaching and learning in the classroom and with small groups or individual pupils.
  • Assist pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Help prepare and organise learning resources and classroom activities.
  • Promote positive behaviour and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment.
  • Support pupils with additional learning or SEND needs as required.
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress to teaching staff.
  • Supervise pupils during lessons, breaks, trips, and school activities.
  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents/carers where appropriate.
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
