Key Account Manager Wholesale maternity cover

Scope of the role

The Key Account Manager, reporting to the UK Country Manager, manages strategic clients, builds long-term relationships, guides business operations, and defines and implements joint business plans with top clients to ensure sales and profitability. This position is a maternity cover with a fixed-term contract.

Main responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with major clients through joint business plans and KPIs monitoring;
  • Engage with clients via networking, meetings, visits, and presentations;
  • Conduct store visits to ensure active presence;
  • Understand client needs through conceptual selling and grasp the needs of their end customers;
  • Formalize and implement Joint Business Plans with clear objectives and action plans;
  • Coordinate activities related to JBPs across departments and external partners;
  • Analyze sales performance and develop action plans accordingly;
  • Ensure excellent service levels for top clients and handle problem-solving as the interface between clients and the company;
  • Present new products and coordinate launch plans;
  • Manage migration of Non-EDI customers to a new digital ordering platform;
  • Analyze market trends to ensure sales and profitability;
  • Conduct market research and strategic analysis to identify key clients or new prospects;
  • Contribute to sales planning and target setting with the Country Manager;
  • Monitor and report on sales and profitability results;
  • Perform gap analysis and develop action plans collaboratively with clients.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of sales experience, preferably in FMCG or fashion;
  • Experience in conceptual selling;
  • Flexibility to adapt in a fast-changing environment;
  • Extensive customer service experience;
  • Proactive and goal-oriented approach;
  • Strong analytical and time management skills;
  • Proficiency in Excel is mandatory;
  • Knowledge of SAP is a plus;
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
