The Lucid Group Learning & Development (L&D) Specialist plays a key role in delivering high-quality, scalable learning experiences across the business. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role that supports the successful implementation of strategic L&D priorities. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to understand learning needs, curate and deliver engaging content, manage learning operations, and ensure a smooth, impactful learner experience.

The Lucid Group Learning & Development (L&D) Specialist plays a key role in delivering high-quality, scalable learning experiences across the business. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role that supports the successful implementation of strategic L&D priorities. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to understand learning needs, curate and deliver engaging content, manage learning operations, and ensure a smooth, impactful learner experience.

This role offers the opportunity to be involved in a range of initiatives across the employee lifecycle, with a particular focus on Talent Development, supporting our employee’s growth, confidence, and capabilities needed for the future.

  • Lucid Global works with global brand teams at big and mid-tier pharmaceuticals and biotech clients to deliver powerful medical communications solutions for early lifecycle assets.
  • Lucid Consulting brings depth of expertise in the research, development and commercialisation of solutions across therapeutic areas and modalities by streamlining product development, building operational capabilities, innovating, and supporting execution to create value for patients, clients and shareholders.
  • US MedComms works with both US and Global brand teams to create powerful medical communications solutions for early lifecycle assets.
  • US Marketing works with clients across the Rx, Medical Device, OTC and Consumer Device categories to deliver compelling communications and promotional solutions to Healthcare Professionals for in-market assets.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Partnering: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify learning needs and support the development of learning solutions that align with business goals
  • Learning Design: Design and deliver engaging, effective learning materials and experiences using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate
  • Digital Content Management: Curate and manage digital learning content on our Learning Experience Platform (HowNow), ensuring it remains relevant, engaging, and aligned with organisational needs
  • Performance Consulting: Act as a performance consultant to help diagnose capability gaps and recommend targeted learning interventions
  • Initiative Support: Support the delivery of strategic learning initiatives (e.g., data literacy, skills-based learning), helping translate vision into execution
  • Internal Communications: Create and share internal communication materials to raise awareness and drive engagement with L&D initiatives across Lucid

Priorities for 2025

Aligned with our Leadership & Talent Development strategy, this role will contribute to delivering the following initiatives:

  • Supporting the launch of the Amplify leadership programme, coordinating logistics and enhancing the learner experience
  • Managing and evolving our core manager training, including our Manager 101 programme and our self-service digital manager hub
  • Supporting the rollout of our core training curriculum, ensuring it is well-delivered, documented, and integrated into our LXP
  • Coordinating elements of our skills-based learning deployment, contributing to the design and communication of learning experiences
  • Supporting data-informed decision-making by providing clear reporting and insights on learning engagement and impact, helping foster a stronger learning culture across the business.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Criteria:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in an L&D, instructional design, or learning delivery role within a corporate or fast-paced environment
  • Experience managing content on an LXP or LMS
  • Experience supporting or delivering learning interventions (particularly manager or soft-skills training)
  • Experience working cross-functionally and with subject matter experts
  • Strong organisational and project coordination skills
  • Proficiency with authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise) and digital content creation (e.g., Canva, video editing tools)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Comfortable tracking and reporting on learning metrics (e.g., Excel, Power BI)
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and focused on delivering high-quality learner experiences

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience working for a multinational matrixed business
  • Exposure to healthcare, creative, or agency environments
  • Familiarity with adult learning theory
  • Experience supporting digital skills or data literacy initiatives
