Job description

The Role

The Key Account Manager (KAM) for the On Trade Field Sales Team will manage and develop relationships with regional key accounts in the on-trade retail channel, including pubs, bars, nightclubs, and Food Service. The role focuses on driving sales growth, increasing brand visibility, and ensuring customer satisfaction, while developing new business opportunities.

This position requires a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills and a thorough understanding of the on-trade market. The KAM should proactively identify growth opportunities and stay informed about market trends.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key on-trade accounts to drive sales and foster long-term partnerships.
  2. Implement and execute the sales strategy for the on-trade channel, aligning with company objectives.
  3. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including expanding distribution and increasing product listings.
  4. Negotiate favourable terms with key accounts, including pricing, promotions, and product placement.
  5. Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitor activity, and growth opportunities.
  6. Meet sales targets for assigned accounts and territory, reporting on performance and adjusting strategies as needed.
  7. Provide excellent customer service, resolving issues promptly and effectively.
  8. Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, and other teams to support key account initiatives.
  9. Prepare regular sales reports and provide insights and recommendations to the Regional Sales Manager.
The Person
  • Experience in commercial account management within the On Trade Drinks sector.
  • Proficiency in PC literacy, including PowerPoint, PDF, and Excel.
  • Experience with Salesforce is advantageous.
  • Strong negotiation, organizational, and influencing skills.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven attitude and the ability to energize others.
