If so, join us as a Key Account Manager - Electrical and become part of our successful Electrical & Renewables team.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a sales-driven professional to grow revenue by identifying new opportunities, strengthening existing client relationships, and executing sales strategies aligned with company goals. You will join us at a pivotal time as we reset our strategy to foster growth across the Electrical sector.

The Role:

As our new Electrical Key Account Manager, you will work to expand our customer base, increase sales, and improve profitability across the UK.

Your focus will be on capitalizing on new opportunities, nurturing key accounts, and aligning sales strategies with our company's objectives. You will also enhance customer satisfaction and collaborate with the larger City group to meet our targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Sales and Profitability: Lead sales efforts, increase profitability in the Electrical sector, develop accounts, and manage the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), monitoring sector and personal margins.
  • Leverage Market Intelligence: Use industry research, competitor analysis, and trends to identify growth opportunities, positioning CPS as a leader in Electrical. Influence branch operations and guide the sales team.
  • Build Strong Customer Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships to expand our Electrical sector within the group. Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities within existing customers and develop strategies for new and existing clients.
  • Enhance Branch Engagement: Work with branch teams to raise awareness of Electrical products, support meeting customer expectations, and participate in regional meetings to represent the Electrical sector.
  • Monitor Market Trends: Stay updated on Electrical market innovations and provide feedback to shape product development.
  • Attend Solar Management Meetings: Participate monthly to report progress and support Electrical market growth initiatives.
  • Manage Personal Development: Continuously assess your performance, seek feedback, and pursue growth opportunities.
  • Oversee Customer Orders: Manage the customer journey from inquiry to delivery, ensuring excellent support.

This position requires regional travel within the UK to meet with customers and suppliers.

We are recruiting Key Account Managers nationwide (London, Midlands, North, Scotland, South East, West). You should be based in the UK.

Skills and Competencies:
  • Experience in sales within Merchant/Electrical/Wholesale sectors.
  • Customer-focused and driven to succeed.
  • Strong knowledge of the Electrical industry.
  • Proficient with IT tools like Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Experience resolving end-to-end queries with solutions-oriented communication.
  • Excellent customer service skills, capable of working independently and collaboratively.
  • Good organizational skills for planning and prioritizing tasks.
