Job summary

Capgemini Invent is seeking a Junior User Researcher to join its Digital Excellence community. You will work across product teams to plan and conduct high-impact user research, employing both qualitative and quantitative methods, and contribute to business development and internal capability growth.

You’ll collaborate with product managers, designers and developers, researching inclusively while applying GDS principles and agile ways of working.

Qualifications

• Hands-on user research with a range of methods and knowing when to apply them.
• Planning and conducting qualitative studies including remote and in-person interviews, observations, diary studies, concept testing and usability studies.
• Familiar with surveys to identify actionable insights or add meaning to qualitative findings.
• Experience using both qualitative and quantitative methods to identify insights and interpret findings.
• Strong storytelling, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Awareness of agile delivery methods.
• Experience with Government Digital Service (GDS) service standards and design principles.
• Active SC clearance or eligible to receive SC clearance.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, developers and other User Researchers to plan and conduct high-impact research.
• Manage and support research activities, suggesting appropriate methodologies based on project needs.
• Research inclusively with a wide range of users including those with additional needs and hard-to-reach groups.
• Consider end-to-end user journeys and external factors impacting UX.
• Communicate research findings to stakeholders in an actionable, empathetic manner.
• Develop your user research skills with regular guidance and training to grow as a consultant.
