Job summary

University of Surrey is seeking a Junior Surveyor to join the Surveying and Planning Team on the Guildford campus. You will support asset/estate management, manage the property database, raise charges, and assist with new lettings and tenancy documents.

Experience in property management or education in the field is desirable; knowledge of lease terms will help you succeed as you engage with tenants and internal teams across the campuses.

Qualifications

• Experience in property management or related education.
• Knowledge of lease terms and tenant relationships.
• Ability to raise invoices and manage data entry.

Responsibilities

• Support the Principal Surveyor with Asset/Estate Management.
• Maintain the Property Database and dataroom as leases change.
• Raise charges (rent and service charge) and liaise with finance to import data.
• View vacant accommodation with potential tenants.
• Negotiate Heads of Terms for new lettings.
• Prepare tenancy documents with solicitors as appropriate.
• Negotiate rent reviews and service charge budgets.
