Job summary

Service Care is recruiting for a Management Surveyor / Estates Surveyor on a temporary basis. The role focuses on an operational property portfolio in the Education and Leisure sectors, including valuations, leases, and negotiations.

Hybrid working requires roughly one day per week in Southampton for site inspections. The candidate should have proven experience in Estates/Management Surveyor roles, with recent rental valuation experience and a strong ability to manage leases, negotiations and

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Estates or Management Surveyor roles.
• Recent, demonstrable experience undertaking rental valuations is essential.
• Experience managing leases and other property agreements.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Experience consulting with multiple stakeholders and managing competing interests.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
• A professional, commercially minded approach to property management.
• Experience in Local Authority or public-sector property environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of operational properties, mainly Education and Leisure sectors.
• Undertake property inspections and provide professional surveying advice.
• Carry out capital and rental valuations as required.
• Manage leases, licences and other property agreements.
• Negotiate co-location arrangements and complex lease matters.
• Prepare clear property reports and recommendations for stakeholders.
• Engage with internal/external stakeholders to resolve complex property issues.
• Collaborate with Council services to optimise the operating portfolio.
