Loungers is hiring a Junior Sous Chef for Sorbo Lounge, a local cafe bar. You'll support the Head Chef and Sous Chef, help deliver great shifts, and ensure every dish leaving the pass meets our standards. This role offers an hourly rate up to £13.30 with tips, a flexible contract, and staff perks from day one.

Qualifications

• Experience with fresh ingredients and strong kitchen skills.
• Ability to work at pace with limited supervision.
• Strong knowledge of allergens, kitchen essentials, and food safety.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver great shifts and ensure prep is done.
• Maintain a clean, well-organised kitchen and uphold high food standards.
• Own your section, including prep, cleanliness, hygiene and food safety.
• Follow allergen processes to ensure kitchen safety.
• Support and mentor newer chefs to grow their skills.
• Know the dish specs inside out to ensure every plate is prouder.
