Job summary

Hawksmoor is seeking a Junior Sous Chef to support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in a busy charcoal-fired kitchen. You’ll lead sections, drive standards and help develop junior chefs while growing your own leadership and commercial skills.

You’ll bring organisation, calm under pressure and a passion for high-quality produce. This hands-on role offers mentorship, growth within Hawksmoor, and opportunities to contribute to menu development in a renowned, inclusive restaurant group.

Qualifications

• When applicable, leadership experience in a kitchen.
• Experience as Chef de Partie or Senior Chef de Partie ready to step up.
• Focus on quality, consistency and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in running daily kitchen operations
• Lead services and manage sections during busy shifts
• Coach and develop Chef de Parties and Commis Chefs
• Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency and presentation
• Ensure strong food safety, organisation and stock control
• Contribute to menu development and operational improvements
