The Ivy New Castle in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a Junior Sous Chef to join our hands-on kitchen team. You will work alongside line chefs, lead by example, and help deliver the high standards our guests expect.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a professional kitchen as a Senior Chef de Partie or similar role is preferred.
• Strong culinary skills with a passion for learning and growth.
• Excellent communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct prep levels by the prep team.
• Ensure deliveries and stock are stored correctly by the Goods Receiver.
• Maintain temperature records.
• Support junior staff wellbeing.
• Check cleaning rotas are completed.
• Monitor and train staff.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
