Job summary

Capo Lounge in Mansfield (Capo Lounge, part of Loungers) is seeking a Junior Sous Chef to support the Head Chef and Sous Chef, helping the team deliver great shifts and proud dishes. The role suits someone aiming to grow into a senior kitchen position and take on more responsibility.

We offer up to £13.30/hr + tips, paid breaks, staff meals on every shift, and 50% off food & drinks from day one, with plenty of opportunity for progression across England and Wales.

Qualifications

• Experience with fresh ingredients and strong kitchen skills (prep, knife work, hygiene).
• Open to progression from Junior Sous Chef, Chef de Partie or Senior Chef.
• Knowledge of allergen processes and food safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver great shifts and ensure prep is done for each day.
• Keep the kitchen clean, well-organised and uphold high food standards.
• Own your section, manage prep, par, cleanliness, hygiene and food safety.
• Follow allergen processes and ensure kitchen compliance and safety.
• Support and help newer chefs develop their skills and confidence.
• Know dish specs inside out and ensure every plate goes out proudly.
