Job summary

Ludo Lounge, part of Loungers, is hiring a Junior Sous Chef to join the kitchen team. You’ll support Head Chef and Sous Chef, ensuring tasty dishes go out to spec, while maintaining a clean, safe kitchen and helping the team deliver strong shifts.

We offer up to £13.30/hr + tips, paid breaks, staff meals, and 50% off food & drinks from day one, with opportunities to grow within our growing hospitality brand across England and Wales.

Qualifications

• Experience working with fresh ingredients and able to demonstrate strong kitchen skills (prep heat/cold, cleaning, knife skills).
• Strong knowledge of allergens, hygiene and food safety practices.
• You are a team player who leads from the front and stays motivated in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver great shifts and ensure prep is ready for each day.
• Maintain a clean, well-organised kitchen and keep high food standards each shift.
• Take ownership of your section, including prep, par, cleanliness and safety.
• Follow allergen processes at all times and keep the kitchen compliant.
• Support and mentor newer chefs to develop confidence and skills.
• Know dish specs inside out and ensure every plate leaves to spec.
