Job summary

The University of Manchester is seeking a proactive kitchen operative to support the preparation, production, packing and dispatch of high-quality food for Hospitality services, events and outlets.

Under the Sous Chef, you will coordinate a production section, check quality and safety, and help ensure menus are delivered on time while promoting teamwork and continuous improvement across the Central Production Unit at Oxford Road, Manchester.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate an allocated section or production activity.
• Check product quality and consistency.
• Help ensure food is cooled, stored, labelled, packed and dispatched safely and on time.
• Deputise for the Sous Chef on agreed operational matters.
