SMITHS in the City of London is seeking a Junior Sous Chef to join our vibrant, four-floor venue that blends a modern grill and rooftop bar. You will lead a kitchen team, contribute to menu development, and ensure smooth daily operations in a bustling environment.

You will be expected to manage rotas, training, and health & safety while collaborating closely with the Head Chef to deliver quality fresh food and exceptional service. Free meals, pension, and generous holiday are offered.

Qualifications

• Ability to design and deliver quality dishes and daily specials.
• Strong communication and coaching skills for junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the kitchen team to deliver high-quality food.
• Collaborate with Head Chef to design and deliver menus and daily specials.
• Manage rotas, training, and all health & safety across the kitchen.
• Ensure consistent quality and presentation of dishes and GP targets.
• Drive sales and growth through engagement with kitchen and front-of-house teams.
• Uphold brand standards and create a welcoming dining experience.
