The Lowry in Salford is seeking a Junior Sous Chef to support delivery of high-quality, well-presented food across our hospitality operation. This practical role involves taking responsibility for kitchen sections and helping the team during busy service.

Lowry is an internationally acclaimed cultural landmark at the heart of MediaCity, delivering food and hospitality across restaurants, bars, conferences, events and programmed activity.
We are looking for a Junior Sous Chef to help deliver consistently high-quality, well-presented food across our hospitality operation. This is a practical role for someone who is confident taking responsibility for kitchen sections, can remain calm and organised during busy service and is ready to take the next step in their culinary career.
Working with the Executive Head Chef and senior culinary team, you will support preparation and service, maintain strong standards of quality and presentation, and help the kitchen respond effectively as operational needs change. You will also contribute to stock control, ordering, menu development, food costing and waste reduction, helping us protect both product quality and commercial performance.
You will lead by example and support junior chefs and kitchen colleagues to build their skills, confidence and consistent working practices. Food safety, allergen management and safe working are central to the role, alongside clear communication with front-of-house and wider Lowry teams to deliver a joined-up customer experience.
