Lumin Wealth Limited in St Albans is seeking a junior full-stack developer to build features for modern web apps using React, TypeScript and Node.js. You will work with experienced engineers and advisers to deliver user‑friendly tools.

Hybrid pattern: two days a week at the St Albans HQ with flexible options. The role focuses on learning, collaboration, and contributing to greenfield projects with a supportive team and clear growth path.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of how frontend, backend and databases fit together.
• Comfortable using Git and version control.
• A genuine eagerness to learn, and the confidence to ask for help when you're stuck.

• Direct exposure to senior stakeholders and business strategy.

Responsibilities

• Build features for full-stack apps using React, TypeScript and Node.js, with support from senior engineers.
• Work on well-scoped pieces of larger projects, growing into more ownership over time.
• Talk directly with advisers and operations teams to understand what they need.
• Help build responsive, intuitive frontends for non-technical users.
• Contribute to APIs and backend services under the guidance of senior team members.
• Write tests for the code you ship and learn our CI/CD pipeline.
• Take part in code reviews, both giving and receiving feedback.

The opportunity

Our small but mighty data team has built a modern platform on AWS, delivering everything from real-time dashboards to internal web applications. You'll pair with experienced engineers, learn a modern TypeScript stack properly and steadily take on more ownership as your confidence grows. You won't be maintaining legacy systems or fixing tickets in isolation. You'll contribute to greenfield applications that support our growth strategy, with support close at hand whenever you need it.

What you'll be doing

• Building features for full-stack apps using React, TypeScript and Node.js, with support from senior engineers
