Job summary

Lumin Wealth Limited in St Albans is seeking a Chartered Senior Financial Planner to manage a portfolio of higher-value clients with company-provided leads behind you and to help shape technical standards across the firm.

You will manage and develop relationships with higher-value clients, take a lead role on complex cases, and deliver robust, well-documented advice across investments, pensions and protection. The role includes mentoring junior planners and contributing to standards.

Qualifications

• Chartered Financial Planner status or equivalent required.
• Extensive advisory experience with complex cases.
• Track record of managing higher-value client relationships.
• Ability to generate and develop new business.

• Professional, ethical, client-centric approach and credible presence.

Responsibilities

Are you a Chartered Financial Planner looking to take on a portfolio of higher-value clients, with company-provided leads behind you and the chance to help shape technical standards across the firm? Lumin Wealth is looking for a Senior Financial Planner to join our St Albans head office.

About the role

You’ll manage and develop a portfolio of clients that includes higher-value and more complex cases. Some will be moving across from existing advisers, and some will be joining through recent acquisitions. Alongside your own client bank, you’ll act as a technical point of reference in the office and support the development of less experienced colleagues.

To help you grow new business, you’ll be supported by company-provided leads, including Trusted Advisor, Lumin News, seminars and our wider marketing activity.

What you’ll be doing

• Managing and developing a portfolio of clients, building long-term relationships based on a genuine understanding of their goals
• Taking a lead role on complex and higher-risk cases, making sure advice is robust, well evidenced and clearly documented
• Delivering compliant advice across investments, pensions, protection and wider financial planning
• Working closely with paraplanning support to produce suitability reports and recommendations
• Generating new business and developing existing client relationships, working towards KPIs aligned with your seniority
• Guiding less experienced planners on complex cases, and supporting the onboarding and development of junior planners and paraplanners
• Contributing to the firm's technical standards, templates and best practice

What we’re looking for

• Minimum Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent) required
• Extensive advisory experience, including complex case work
• A track record of managing higher-value client relationships
• The ability to generate and develop new business
• Experience coaching or mentoring colleagues, or the clear ability to do so
• A professional, ethical, client-centric approach and a credible presence with clients and colleagues
