Job summary

HR GO Group is recruiting a Junior Shift Maintenance Engineer for its Grays, Thurrock site. You will join a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment, working 4 on 4 off from 6am to 6pm or 6pm to 6am, paired with an experienced engineer to develop skills across electrical and mechanical systems.

Ideal candidates have recently completed an engineering apprenticeship or military engineering background, with a strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn. Ex-forces are welcome.

Qualifications

• Recent engineering apprenticeship completed or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn electrical systems.
• Logical approach to problem solving and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planned and reactive maintenance across production equipment.
• Support fault finding on electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
• Help diagnose issues and carry out safe repairs and follow SOPs.
• Collaborate with Production to keep lines running smoothly.
• Follow health and safety procedures and complete logs.
