Job summary

PrepWorld in Northfleet, Kent is seeking two Maintenance Engineers to join on a night shift pattern (12-hour shifts, 4 on/4 off). You will perform scheduled maintenance, fault finding and repair of food manufacturing equipment and related systems, either as part of a team or individually.

Suitable candidates will have an apprenticeship or Level 3 NVQ in mechanical discipline (or extensive maintenance experience in FMCG), strong problem solving, and good IT skills (Excel/Word).

Qualifications

• Recognised apprenticeship or Level 3 NVQ in mechanical discipline or 5 years' maintenance experience.
• Experience in FMCG maintenance is preferred.
• Applies mechanical/electrical safety and LOTO procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine scheduled servicing and maintenance on food manufacturing equipment and related systems.
• Attend machine breakdowns and diagnose faults to repair efficiently.
• Apply root cause analysis to identify issues and implement improvements.
• Maintain maintenance records and support production teams to reduce downtime.
• Assist in training other team members and maintain health and safety practices.
