Job summary

Ark is seeking a Junior Onsite IT Technician to support IT services across its school cluster. You will log and resolve incidents, provide hands-on user support, and collaborate with senior technicians to keep services running smoothly.

The role is based primarily in South London with some travel to other sites. It offers development opportunities within a supportive IT team and a structured shift pattern with core hours 07:00–18:00.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering IT support in schools or multi-user environments.
• Understanding data protection and information security principles.
• Able to work across multiple sites and prioritise effectively.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory and device management.

Responsibilities

• Assess, log, categorise and prioritise incidents and service requests using the ITSM system
• Manage and prioritise tickets in line with SLAs and processes, owning resolution
• Keep users informed throughout the ticket lifecycle with accurate updates
• Provide onsite IT support through approved service channels in schools
• Diagnose and resolve issues across Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, AV and classroom tech
• Support core platforms including Microsoft 365 and Active Directory
• Collaborate with senior technicians and Ark network teams on complex issues
• Maintain accurate asset records
• Support IT service delivery across the cluster to maintain continuity
• Support device rollouts, system upgrades and infrastructure changes
