Job summary

Hireful Ltd is looking for a junior payroll and benefits assistant to support our HR team. This hybrid role splits time between the Liverpool and Warrington offices and from home, with a fixed-term contract until November 2027 and a salary of £27,783.

You'll handle payroll and benefits tasks, assist with pension schemes, and ensure data is accurate and confidential. This is an excellent entry-to-mid-level opportunity to learn reward and payroll while delivering great service.

Qualifications

• HR, Business, or Accounting/Finance graduate, or early practical experience in payroll/reward/HR administration.
• Good IT skills, a head for numbers, and top-tier attention to detail.
• Warm, professional communication with a customer-first attitude.
• Willingness to work hybrid across Liverpool and Warrington offices; driving licence is a bonus.
• GCSE Maths and English (Level 4/C or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Be the friendly first point of contact for pay, pension, and benefit queries.
• Assist with administering pension schemes and employee benefits; handle starters, leavers, and changes.
• Process payroll and reward data with accuracy, confidentiality, and timeliness.
• Review and streamline processes to improve people services.
• Support year-end activities, audits, and wellbeing initiatives.
