Job summary

JMC Legal Recruitment is seeking a Construction Associate (Non-Contentious) in Manchester for 1+ years PQE. You will join a Top 15 international firm’s busy non-contentious construction team, handling front-end matters on landmark energy and infrastructure projects.

Based in Manchester with hybrid working, you will draft and negotiate construction documentation, advise on procurement and risk allocation, and develop client relationships under close mentorship from leading partners.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with 1+ years PQE in non-contentious construction law.
• Strong drafting skills with understanding of construction contracts and procurement.
• Experience advising clients across energy, infrastructure or real estate sectors.
• Commercially minded with excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Proactive team player who thrives on technically challenging work and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate construction documentation and procurement.
• Advise on procurement and risk allocation for major projects.
• Support clients with the full lifecycle of energy, infrastructure and real estate mandates.
• Receive direct mentorship from leading partners and manage appropriate workstreams.
