Job summary

JMC Legal Recruitment is seeking a Construction Associate (Non-Contentious) in Manchester for 1+ years PQE. You will join a Top 15 international firm’s busy non-contentious construction team, handling front-end matters on landmark energy and infrastructure projects.

Based in Manchester with hybrid working, you will draft and negotiate construction documentation, advise on procurement and risk allocation, and develop client relationships under close mentorship from leading partners.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with 1+ years PQE in non-contentious construction law.
• Strong drafting skills with understanding of construction contracts and procurement.
• Experience advising clients across energy, infrastructure or real estate sectors.
• Commercially minded with excellent communication and client relationship skills.

The Team

The team is known for its technical depth, its practical approach and its ability to manage procurement strategy, contract drafting and risk allocation on some of the most significant mandates in the market.

The Role

Based in Manchester, you will join a close-knit team of specialists and gain hands-on exposure to the full range of front-end construction matters from an early stage. You will draft and negotiate construction documentation, advise on procurement and risk allocation and support clients through the full lifecycle of major projects spanning renewable energy, infrastructure and real estate development.

From day one you will have real client contact, direct mentorship from leading partners and the autonomy to manage workstreams appropriate to your level of experience.
