Job summary

Gold Group Ltd is seeking a mechanically minded engineer with an apprenticeship or Level 3 Mechanical Engineering qualification to join our defence tech team in the UK. You will gain hands-on experience across design, development, testing and delivery of complex systems, while building technical knowledge and a clear long-term career path.

You will collaborate with experienced engineers, contribute to drawings, ECRs, and documentation, and participate in design reviews and field activities.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Mechanical Engineering qualification or apprenticeship completed.
• Solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
• Experience using SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
• Experience with engineering drawings, design changes or configuration management.
• Good communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Providing engineering support across programmes and projects.
• Producing engineering documentation including method statements and test specs.
• Implementing Engineering Change Requests (ECRs).
• Updating drawings and technical documentation.
• Liaising with Engineering, Manufacturing and Project teams.
• Participating in design reviews, testing, and on-site activities.
