Job summary

ETS-Lindgren GmbH in the United Kingdom, England, Rugeley, seeks a junior engineer to support design maintenance and development across defence projects, exposing you to multiple engineering disciplines.

You will assist senior engineers, prepare method statements, write test specifications, manage ECRs, change control, update drawings, and occasionally work on site while cultivating a practical, methodical engineering approach.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 Engineering qualification or completion of an engineering apprenticeship (mechanical bias).
  • Strong engineering background with emphasis on mechanical principles.
  • Proficient in MS Office for diverse tasks.
  • Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles for innovation and problem solving.
  • Experience supporting design, assembly, test, and delivery of complex Defence systems.
  • Proven experience using SolidWorks (mechanical).
  • Ambition to progress into a supervisory or specialist role.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering and project teams to achieve results.
  • Act as a key link between engineers and other departments to progress tasks.
  • Support a variety of engineering tasks under guidance of senior engineers, including: Method Statements, Test Specifications, ECRs, Change Management, Drawing Updates, and occasional site work.
  • Participate in meetings and contribute insights to shape the business future.
  • Maintain thorough, organised documentation following procedures.

As a valued member of our organisation, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing designs used across a range of projects, while gaining exposure to a broad spectrum of Engineering disciplines. What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate seamlessly with our engineering and project teams, working alongside them to achieve outstanding results.
  • Act as a key link between engineers and other departments, communicating effectively to help progress tasks and actions on behalf of more senior Engineers.
  • Embrace a variety of engineering tasks that support projects and programs, showcasing your adaptability and versatility whilst working under the guidance of senior engineers, such as:
    • Writing Method Statements
    • Writing Test Specifications
    • Implementing ECRs
    • Change Management
    • Drawing Updates
    • Occasional Site Work
  • Participate in internal and external meetings, contributing your insights to shape the future of our business.
  • Maintain thorough and organised documentation, following our local operating procedures.

What You'll Bring:

  • A minimum of a Level 3 Engineering qualification / completion of an engineering apprenticeship, demonstrating a strong engineering background (mechanical bias).
