Job summary

Quest Global is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Defence-focused team in the UK. You will create 3D models, develop 2D drawings, and ensure design for manufacture aligns with customer requirements, while working with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality engineering outputs.

You will maintain rigorous documentation, apply GD&T principles, and support senior engineers with routine tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven ability to create and interpret 3D CAD models and 2D drawings.
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor or similar CAD packages.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation.
• Knowledge of design for manufacture and GD&T basics.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D models and detailed 2D drawings to required standards.
• Produce CAD data and drawing packages for manufacturing.
• Maintain and update engineering documentation in databases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery.
• Support senior engineers with routine design tasks and checks.
