Job summary

Framatome UK is seeking an IT Apprentice in Avonmouth to learn IT systems, data analysis, and business process improvements while supporting daily activities. The role offers a structured apprenticeship with on-the-job training, formal courses, and mentorship from experienced professionals.

You will gain exposure to technical support, system administration, data management, and reporting, working closely with IT and business teams as part of a developing career path.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including English and Maths or equivalent qualification.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Logical, analytical approach to problems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Motivation to learn, adapt and take initiative.
• Able to work in a team and independently.
• Basic understanding of IT concepts (networks, operating systems).
• Interest in how businesses operate and in business processes.
• Experience with any programming language or data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line IT support and assist with system administration tasks.
• Support data entry, data cleansing and basic report generation.
• Help maintain IT documentation and user guides.
• Assist with hardware/software setup, deployment and inventory management.
• Support process analysis to identify efficiency improvements.
• Assist project managers with administrative tasks and scheduling.
• Contribute to collection and analysis of business data for decision-making.
• Liaise between IT and business teams to translate technical concepts.
