The Associate HR Generalist will support and coordinate general HR activities for our AMER and EMEA regions and drive HR processes. This role offers a great opportunity to start and develop your career in a People function supporting team members worldwide.

The successful candidate will have an excellent academic record combined with some experience in an entry-level HR or People Team role. Knowledge of employment law is a plus. We are particularly interested in candidates with an interest in the Technology sector, especially Open Source.

Location: This role is remote, based in the EMEA and Americas regions.

What your day will look like

• Provide HR support by answering team members’ questions and handling requests regarding employment, contracts, onboarding, benefits, employment verifications, and other inquiries, escalating as needed.
• Maintain our HRIS with high accuracy and timeliness for all employee changes and new hires.
• Lead global projects, such as engagement, training, or culture initiatives.
• Partner with managers and employees to support HR processes and implement people strategies.
• Collaborate globally with colleagues, especially leaders and managers.
• Process new hires, including onboarding documentation, file creation, system setup, and introductory reviews.
• Support benefits enrollment and payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate data submission.
• Liaise with payroll to ensure smooth salary payments.
• Conduct regular audits of employment files and systems to ensure they are current, accurate, and GDPR compliant.
• Identify and suggest process improvements to enhance HR functions.
• Manage global background checks.
