Job summary

FinTech People is seeking a junior HR professional for a six-month contract in Cardiff, UK. The role supports day-to-day HR activities and provides trusted advice across the employee lifecycle, handling requests, queries, and documentation.

You will work with the People team to deliver a positive employee experience, coordinating flexible working requests and maintaining accurate records while handling confidential information with discretion.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in HR, People Operations, Employee Relations or similar role.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Confidence handling sensitive and confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day HR activities and provide trusted advice across the employee lifecycle.
• Coordinate flexible working requests.
• Assist with employee queries including reasonable adjustments and health referrals.
• Draft outcome letters and employee communications.
• Provide admin support for employee relations meetings and cases.
• Respond to day-to-day HR queries from managers and employees.
• Maintain accurate records and case documentation.
• Escalate complex matters to senior colleagues when appropriate.
• Collaborate with the wider People team to enhance the employee experience.
