Job summary

Speedy Freight in Knutsford is seeking a Senior HR Advisor to join the People team on a contract basis. The role is hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 days working from home) and focuses on delivering practical HR support across the UK operations and franchise network.

You will manage a varied ER caseload, coach managers, and work on HR policies, employment law, and data reporting to drive fair, compliant people decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience as HR Advisor or Senior HR Advisor with ER case management.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Ability to coach managers and influence decisions.
• Proven HR documentation and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage employee relations cases from advice to resolution.
• Coach managers to handle people issues confidently.
• Support investigations, hearings and appeals when needed.
• Provide practical guidance on legislation, policies and best practice.
• Review investigation plans and documentation for accuracy.
• Build relationships with managers, teams and franchise network.
