Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is seeking a Senior HR Advisor to join a leading organisation in Cardiff on a full-time, site-based basis. The role covers the full employee lifecycle, advising managers, handling ER cases, and delivering HR initiatives within a long-term temporary contract.

Qualifications

• Experience as Senior HR Advisor or similar generalist HR role.
• Experience managing employee relations casework (disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance).
• Excellent knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience in corporate, professional services, public sector or large organisations.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• CIPD Level 5 or higher, or working towards it.
• On-site work Monday to Friday with occasional flexible home working.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive day-to-day HR support to managers across the business, delivering practical people solutions and HR best practice.
• Advise and coach managers on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability and performance.
• Ensure HR policies and procedures are applied in line with UK employment legislation.
• Coordinate and deliver performance management, learning and development, wellbeing initiatives and occupational health processes.
• Produce, maintain and analyse HR reports, KPIs and employee data, ensuring GDPR compliance.
• Support organisational change projects, restructures and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead and support talent management, succession planning, engagement, diversity and wellbeing programmes.
• Build strong relationships with managers and stakeholders, providing trusted HR guidance.
• Support HR projects and ongoing policy development.
