Job summary

Thomson Environmental Consultants is seeking an Assistant Freshwater Aquatic Ecologist to join our growing Aquatic Ecology team. This role offers chances to develop skills in field surveys, data analysis, reporting and environmental assessments for rivers and lakes across England and Wales.

You will organise and coordinate surveys, liaise with clients and landowners, and contribute to tenders and quotes to help grow the business.

Qualifications

• Degree or postgraduate degree in Aquatic Ecology, Hydro-Ecology or related subject.
• Valid driving licence and vehicle, insured for business use.
• The ability and willingness to travel and stay away at survey sites in various locations in the UK.
• Self-motivation with the ability to learn quickly.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Organise and coordinate surveys, desk surveys and ecological assessments
• Liaise with clients and landowners
• Assist in business development by contributing to the development of tenders & quotes, and supporting revenue growth.
