Job summary

Ford&Stanley Talent Services Group Ltd is recruiting a Junior Field Service Engineer to join our growing rail engineering team across the UK. Based in Wiltshire, you will receive comprehensive training to develop specialist electrical and HVAC skills while supporting installation, commissioning and fault-finding on rail infrastructure projects.

You will travel across the UK, work with senior engineers, and progress into a skilled field-based engineer role with long-term career prospects.

Qualifications

• Proven electrical fault-finding experience.
• Level3 qualification (or equivalent) in Electrical engineering.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to pass a medical, drug & alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with installation and commissioning activities.
• Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults.
• Supporting planned and reactive maintenance works.
• Interpreting and working from engineering drawings and schematics.
• Travelling to customer sites across the UK.
• Working closely with senior engineers to develop your technical expertise.

Rates: £21.35 Umbrella per hour

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (40 Hours)

Contract Length: 12 Months with a view to go Permanent

Ideal Candidate

You will bring experience, precision, and a strong electrical mindset. We are looking for someone with:

• Knowledge of 3phase Electrical systems, DC Control Units and a basic understanding of PLC systems (Desirable)
• Confident in reading and following electrical engineering drawings
• Candidate must be a commutable distance from Calne

Essential Criteria
