Job summary

TRS Consulting UK is seeking a Project Engineer / Senior Field Service Engineer to install and commission hardware, software, and electrical components at customer sites. You will develop design documentation and configure software, Windows OS, and PC hardware, while coordinating with customers and sub-contractors to schedule activities across projects.

The role requires travel with about one night away per week, a full UK driving licence, and DBS checks.

Qualifications

• Experience in field service/commissioning/project engineering roles.
• HNC or equivalent in engineering discipline.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel; DBS check may be required.

You will be responsible for the following:

• Installation and commissioning of hardware, software and electrical components at customer sites
• Development of design documentation (including drawings) in accordance with customer requirements
• Configuration of application software, Windows operating system and associated PC hardware
• Co-ordinating with customers and sub-contractors to schedule project activities

Your Background - Project Engineer / Senior Field Service Engineer

To apply you should be able to demonstrate the following:

• Experience working in a field service engineer, commissioning engineer, control and instrumentation engineer or project engineer role
• Ex-forces engineers are welcomed to apply
• HNC or similar in relevant engineering discipline
• Excellent customer service skills
• Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel and be DBS checked
