Salary: £26,000 per annum

Location: Brighton Office

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

About The Role

We’re looking for a Junior Event Production & Admin Assistant to join the Lucy & Yak team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone starting their career in events, eager to gain hands-on experience across a busy and exciting calendar.

You’ll support our hardworking events team on a range of projects, including:

  • New store openings, in-store events, and birthday celebrations
  • Product launches, brand activations & press events
  • Pop-up shops and sample sales
  • Festival activations
  • Exhibitions and trade shows

We’re seeking someone positive, calm under pressure, highly organized, detail-oriented, with a great attitude and a willingness to get involved. Please note, this is primarily a production and admin-based role, not a creative or ideation-led position.

Ideal candidates will be:

  • Motivated by ensuring smooth behind-the-scenes operations
  • Able to follow directions and work independently
  • Confident in working autonomously when needed
  • Excited to support creative concepts

Working Hours

Our core hours are Monday to Thursday, 9am–5pm, with flexibility required around events. Occasional evening and weekend work may be necessary, especially during event load-ins/outs and live days, but extra hours will be compensated with time off in lieu.

This is mainly an office-based role, with opportunities to participate in live events across the UK. Travel and overnight stays may be required, particularly during the busy summer season.

What You'll Be Doing
Admin Support
  • Book couriers, staff transport, and other logistics for upcoming events
  • Chase VAT receipts and ensure all paperwork is complete and accurate
  • Schedule meetings, take notes, and circulate minutes
  • Maintain Health & Safety documentation and secure event licenses
Pre-Production Support
  • Assist with pre-event packing, preparing production kits, and ordering supplies
  • Help with vehicle loading/unloading
  • Organize storage areas and handle charity shop donations
On-Site Support
  • Set up and pack down event spaces
  • Order crew lunches, coordinate couriers, and manage logistics
  • Dismantle kits and ensure smooth operations
  • Handle last-minute booking of transport and on-site admin tasks
About You
  • Based in Brighton or willing to relocate quickly
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Calm, friendly, and resilient under pressure
  • Physically capable of lifting, moving equipment, and standing for periods
  • Proactive with a genuine interest in events and production
  • Strong communication skills and a team player
  • Ready for our busiest summer season yet
  • A full driving license is a bonus but not essential
