Job summary

KO2 Embedded Recruitment Solutions Ltd is partnering with a Falkirk client to recruit a Junior Electronic Technician to join the repair team. You’ll learn to diagnose and repair VF drives, HMIs and circuit boards from a wide range of industries, with support from experienced technicians.

Every day you’ll apply electronics knowledge and soldering skills to deliver high-quality repairs that keep customers’ operations running. Training is provided with a clear path to becoming a skilled technician.

Qualifications

• Qualification in electronics or electrical engineering or hands-on equivalent.
• Ability to read schematics and datasheets.
• Soldering experience; IPC J-STD-001 desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults on circuit boards and electronic systems using schematics and datasheets.
• Carry out repairs under guidance: testing and replacing components, re-soldering connections and getting equipment back into service.
• Use soldering irons, hot air rework stations, multimeters, oscilloscopes and other test equipment.
• Record repair procedures and replaced components for quality control and future reference.
