Job summary

Redline Group Ltd. Falkirk-based organisation is seeking an experienced Electronic Repair Technician to diagnose and repair a wide range of electronic equipment.

The role is hands-on, involving fault-finding on circuit boards, HMIs, and industrial drives, with a focus on delivering high-quality repairs to minimise downtime. The candidate will work in a fast-paced technical environment, using SMT soldering, test equipment, and detailed documentation to ensure safety and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of electronics and fault-finding techniques.
• Able to read schematics, circuit diagrams, and component datasheets.
• Experience repairing electronic assemblies down to component level.
• Soldering and SMT rework experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults on circuit boards and systems using schematics and datasheets.
• Repair equipment by testing, replacing, and reworking faulty components.
• Carry out board-level repairs, including SMT and through-hole components.
• Use soldering irons, hot air rework stations, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic equipment.
• Perform routine inspection and maintenance to improve reliability.
• Document repair processes, findings, and components replaced.
• Ensure work complies with quality standards and safety procedures.
