Job summary

Radwell International in Newcastle-under-Lyme is seeking a Repair Technician to troubleshoot and repair industrial electronic equipment, including variable speed drives, PLCs, HMIs, and power supplies. You will inspect, service, and refurbish equipment, using precision soldering and electrical schematics to diagnose faults.

The role offers a salary of £35,000–£40,000 per year, plus private health and life insurance, on-site parking, mental health support, and access to a broad benefits portal.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or BTEC Level 3 in Electrical/Electronic Engineering completed.
• Strong knowledge of Industrial Automation systems.
• Proficient in soldering techniques to a high standard.
• Accurately identify electronic components and part numbers.
• Experience using precision hand tools in education and work.
• Follow established SOPs to maintain quality and safety.
• Strong fault-finding abilities in industrial automation.

Responsibilities

• Perform servicing and refurbishment of equipment, including cleaning and replacing faulty components.
• Interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings for accurate fault diagnosis and repairs.
• Carry out precision soldering and desoldering of through-hole and SMD components.
• Maintain repair records and documentation in job management systems.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and regulations.
• Mentor and assist less experienced technicians and apprentices.
