Job summary

Oxford Instruments Andor in Belfast is seeking a Graduate Electronics Engineer to join the Hardware Sustaining Engineering team. You will work with experienced engineers to investigate challenges, improve product performance and support ongoing success of cutting-edge technologies.

You will gain hands-on experience in hardware sustainment, root-cause analysis and collaboration with suppliers, manufacturing and quality teams, while developing professionally in a global high-tech environment.

Qualifications

• Essential: 2:1 degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics or related discipline.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a logical approach to technical investigations.
• Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proactive attitude with a focus on quality and delivering results.

Responsibilities

• Support the sustaining and enhancement of Andor's electronic hardware products.
• Conduct root cause analysis on customer returns and production issues.
• Identify and implement solutions to improve product quality and reliability.
• Support engineering changes driven by component obsolescence.
• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve technical issues and improve product conformity.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing teams, customers and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to technical documentation and engineering records.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across products and processes.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering
