Job summary

Oxford Instruments Andor, based in Belfast, is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to champion supplier quality investigations. The role coordinates cross‑functional teams to resolve issues and ensures timely corrective actions are implemented.

You will work with technical groups to embed quality into advanced scientific solutions. The position requires a strong background in quality engineering with supplier focus and a relevant engineering degree.

Qualifications

• 5 years hands-on quality engineering experience with supplier quality focus.
• BSc/BEng in engineering or related technical field.
• Electrical/electronic background with supplier quality in low-volume, high-value manufacturing desirable.

Responsibilities

We are hiring for a Senior Quality Engineer who will be responsible for championing internal and external quality investigations with a focus on supplier quality. They will coordinate cross-functional teams in order to resolve issues, ensuring timely implementation of interim and permanent corrective actions. They will also work beside technical teams to ensure quality is built into scientific solutions being developed at Andor.

This permanent position is based at our Belfast headquarters

The Senior Quality Engineer will have:

• BSc/BEng qualification in in a computer, technical or numeric subject such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Physics or equivalent qualification
• 5 years’ experience of hands‑on quality engineering experience. Strong supplier quality focus

An electrical/electronic engineering background and experience of working in a Supplier Quality role within a low volume, high value manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
