Job summary

isepglobal is recruiting a Junior EHS Advisor to join a major data centre project in Didcot, Oxfordshire. The role offers on-site exposure to health and safety in a fast-paced construction environment and a clear path to NEBOSH qualification progression.

You will work with the EHS and site management teams to deliver daily safety activities, audits, inductions and incident investigations while developing essential practical experience on a large-scale project.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General, Construction or equivalent qualification (or working towards).
• Some previous construction/site experience is desirable.
• Strong interest in developing a career within Health & Safety/EHS.
• Good understanding of basic UK H&S principles.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Proactive approach with a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a wider project team.
• CSCS or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Support the EHS team with the day-to-day management of health and safety on site.
• Assist with regular site inspections, safety walks and audits.
• Support the review of RAMS, method statements and safe systems of work.
• Assist with accident, incident and near-miss investigations.
• Help monitor subcontractor compliance with project EHS requirements.
• Support the delivery of site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Assist with identifying hazards and ensuring appropriate corrective actions are followed up.
• Maintain accurate EHS records, reports and documentation.
• Support the implementation of the project EHS management system.
• Help ensure compliance with relevant UK H&S legislation and company procedures.
• Work closely with Site Managers, Supervisors, subcontractors and the wider EHS team.
• Promote a positive and proactive health and safety culture across the project.
• Take the opportunity to develop practical experience across a large-scale data centre project.
