Job summary

MarketCast is seeking a Junior Data Scientist in London/Reading to support analytical research projects within the client-facing Data Science unit. You will explore data sources, build models, and create bespoke client reports using Python, SQL, and Streamlit on our AWS platform.

The role emphasizes collaboration with global teams, data visualization, strong math/statistics foundations, and a desire to learn in a fast-growing environment. A bachelor’s degree is required; master’s is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or data-related field.
• Proficiency with SQL, Python and Pandas.
• Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Explore and extract data from multiple sources to create insights.
• Design and develop algorithms, programs, methods and processes.
• Research, develop, and test supervised and unsupervised learning models.
• Maintain and improve ML pipelines, processes and products.
• Use Python, SQL and Streamlit for reporting on the AWS data platform.
• Collaborate with India-based Data Engineering and US/UK teams.
