Job summary

Harnham is seeking a junior data science professional to join their newly formed Data & AI team in London. You will work directly with senior leaders, contributing to real projects from day one and shaping data-driven products.

You will use Python and SQL to analyse data, conduct exploratory analysis, and support ML and AI initiatives while collaborating with data scientists, engineers and AI specialists. Mentorship and clear career progression are offered.

Qualifications

• MSc in quantitative discipline from a Russell Group university.
• Strong Python, SQL and statistical knowledge.
• Hands-on data science project, internship or professional experience.

Looking to kick-start your Data Science career in a genuinely hands-on environment? This is an opportunity to join a small, newly formed Data & AI team where you'll work directly with senior leaders, contribute to real projects from day one, and help shape innovative data-driven products.

With a small, highly skilled multidisciplinary team, they offer a hands-on environment where individuals can make a visible impact and contribute across the full product lifecycle. The Role

• Use Python and SQL to analyse and prepare data.
• Conduct exploratory analysis and generate actionable insights.
• Support machine learning, AI and data product initiatives.
• Work alongside Data Scientists, Engineers and AI specialists.
• Present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Your Skills & Experience

• MSc in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering or a related quantitative discipline from a Russell Group university.
• Strong Python, SQL and statistical knowledge.
• Hands-on project, research, internship or commercial experience applying Data Science.
• Understanding of machine learning fundamentals.
• Exposure to tools such as Databricks, Fabric, Power BI or NLP is advantageous.
